Jan Jaworski, Vice President for Research
As Vice President for Research, Jan Jaworski is responsible for helping guide the scientific direction of Danforth Center. In this role he works closely with visitors who are interested in the Center's research and serves as the liaison to the Center’s Scientific Advisory Board.
Jaworski is also a Member and Principal Investigator. The focus of his research is to better understand the pathways and enzymes in plants that are involved in lipid biosynthesis including identifying genes responsible for producing unusual oils, those with industrial applications.
Jaworski earned his BA in chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and received his PhD from Purdue University.
